Day 3: Quick Handmade Gifts

Day 3 of the 12 Days of Christmas!! Soooo we’re down to single digits in the Christmas countdown, and if you’re not finished with your shopping list…. maybe try making a few things instead of braving the crowds!

Sugar Scrubs

I made these as favors at my birthday party. They’re so simple, but make great gifts for the ladies in your life! You could try mint essential oils with red and white striped ribbon for a peppermint holiday flair! Add a label with the ingredients, date, and a holiday message 🙂 Check out these recipes on hellowglow for other ideas

Potholders

These are simples and can be made with a coordinating fat quarter pack or even scraps from your sewing room. Radiant Home Studio has a super simple tutorial on her blog. As a bonus, you get to practice your binding skills (at least I do, binding is not my best skill).

Chunky Knit Hats

I’ve definitely shared this pattern before, but I love this pattern for super quick, warm hats. I make at least one per year. You need to try it! The Super-Sized Hat pattern is a free download on Ravelry 🙂

Bath Bombs

These need to harden over night, but they make great gifts, as well! The Make Up Dummy made a great tutorial for any scent of bath bomb. And these are Peppermint scented bath bombs made with a silicone snowflake mold! So fun!

Chocolate Dipped Pretzels + Gift Cards

I don’t usually give food gifts, but I think they work well when accompanying a gift card or something small. Just to give the recipient something to open. Chocolate Dipped Pretzel Sticks are delicious and extra festive when you add some holiday sprinkles.

In case you’re wondering, yes I’ll be making a few of these items this week… I can’t believe Christmas is only 9 days away! So much to do between now and then…
