As of late…

I need to apologize: I never ever write on this blog, and I keep making resolutions to start writing but never follow through. So much has changed in my life, and I do have a lot to write about.

Wow I looked over my other new year’s resolutions and saw I’ve barely kept any of them… My only current resolution is to find a job 🙂 I graduated a week and a half ago and have submitted what feels like a million resumes. I had one interview last week, but the job doesn’t seem like it’s right for me, so I’m just waiting for a call back from one of the other applications.

OK, first things first. I got engaged in February 🙂 Since then, I’ve been trying not to think about wedding stuff until I got out of school… so now I’m allowed to think about it! I did buy my dress, book the hall and church, and choose a caterer (my parents: cafepierrot.com), so the big stuff is all done, I just have the little details to worry about.

This year I also tried cheerleading, which was great. My younger sister is captain of the school squad and after one girl was kicked off the team, she suggested I join. The girls were so fun, and I have some really close friends because of cheerleading. The drama wasn’t bad 🙂 some girls were crazy, but for the most part everything ran smoothly.

I got a macbook pro 🙂 I love it. The end.

I’ve been writing a million and a half thank you notes (hence the thank you note pic) for graduation and engagement gifts, that I think I’m going crazy! I’m beginning to say like I’m saying the same exact thing to everyone, which isn’t necessarily how I feel, but it just seems to fit on the card better. Actually, I wrote about 20, and then my mom decided the cards were ugly, so I went to Target and bought the style pictured here and rewrote them all… They really are better. I probably shouldn’t have been using the leftovers from high school that I found in the back of my closet while I was moving out of college………… 🙂

Well, I promise I’ll be posting more often, but this is enough for today.
What to expect in the coming posts

  • posts about my Craftsy classes that I registered for 🙂
  • news on job results
  • pictures of cupcakes and cookies because of my freelance work for cafepierrot.com (oh, did I mention this already? Cafe Pierrot really is the best cafe/ bakery/ caterer in NJ)
  • DIY projects for my wedding
  • book reviews
  • general summer fun

Here’s a verse that I’ve been praying over lately:
Psalm 16:2, 5-11

I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
I have no good apart from you.”

The Lord is my chosen portion and my cup;
you hold my lot.
The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;
indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance.

I bless the Lord who gives me counsel;
in the night also my heart instructs me.[d]
I have set the Lord always before me;
because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.

Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being[e] rejoices;
my flesh also dwells secure.
10 For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol,
or let your holy one see corruption.[f]

11 You make known to me the path of life;
in your presence there is fullness of joy;
at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
